New York Air National Guard Promotions | Winners

LATHAM – Maj. Gen. Ray Shields, Adjutant General of New York State, announced the recent promotion of members of the New York Air National Guard’s 174th Attack Wing in recognition of their ability to assume responsibilities and additional leadership. Promotions include:

Andrew Ammann of Central Square, and assigned to the Wing’s 174th Civil Engineer Squadron received a promotion to Airman 1st Class on October 19, 2021.

Jasmin Mcgriff of Oswego and assigned to the 138th Wing Attack Squadron received a promotion to Staff Sergeant on October 2, 2021.

Rafael Medina of Altmar and assigned to the 138th Wing Attack Squadron received a promotion to Technical Sergeant on September 27, 2021.

Travis Maxwell of Pennellville and assigned to the 138th Wing Attack Squadron received a promotion to Technical Sergeant on September 20, 2021.

Christina Watson of Constantia and assigned to the 174th Wing Operations Support Squadron received a promotion to Master Sergeant on September 16, 2021.

Rachel Hamon of Central Square and assigned to the 174th Wing Maintenance Group received a promotion to Staff Sergeant on September 15, 2021.

Bradley Pirie of Central Square and assigned to the 174th Wing Communications Flight received a promotion to Staff Sergeant on September 15, 2021.

William Bullock of Fulton and assigned to the 138th Wing Attack Squadron received a promotion to Staff Sergeant on August 5, 2021.

Joseph Stahl of Central Square and assigned to the 138th Wing Attack Squadron received a promotion to Staff Sergeant on August 5, 2021.

Anthony Gillette of Brewerton and assigned to the 174th Wing Security Forces Squadron received a promotion to Staff Sergeant on September 15, 2021.

Air National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.

These promotions further recognize the most qualified Airmen and attract and retain the highest caliber Citizen Airmen for careers in the New York Air National Guard and 174th Attack Wing.

The 174th Attack Wing, located in Syracuse, operates and supports the MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft both locally and globally.

The wing provides trained airmen and weapons systems for joint global air, space and cyberspace operations in support of homeland defense and to assist civil authorities under the direction of the Governor of the State of New York.

The New York National Guard (New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs) is the state executive agency responsible to the Governor for the management of New York’s military forces, which consists of nearly 20,000 members of the New York Army National Guard, New York Air National Guard, New York Naval Militia and New York Guard.
